Dermot Brannigan is a regulated and qualified Independent Financial Adviser. With over 30 years experience within the financial services industry, he has run his own IFA practice for over 10 years. Prior to that he worked as a self-employed adviser with several financial services companies and networks.

Over the past 15 years he has been called upon to give evidence and provide expertise in a number of areas, such as:

1) Whether advice given by another financial adviser was suitable.
2) Whether advice given by a financial institution/bank was suitable.
3) Whether mis-selling occurred with regards to financial products.
4) Whether correct advice, and regulatory procedures were followed in regards financial advice and/or products.

Dermot is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and has been asked to provided expertise under CPR 35. The scope of his expertise covers investments, pensions, insurance, residential mortgages and equity release. Dermot has provided expertise on behalf of the Claimant, the Defendant and as a Single Joint Expert.

Dermot also has experience of giving evidence in court.
