I am an expert in wills, trust, tax and court of protection matters.

Since 2015 I have been a Court of Protection Panel Deputy managing the property and financial affairs of clients living with numerous illnesses and ailments from children, young adults, the middle aged, the recently retired and the elderly.

Whilst most of my clients are living with dementia I have also acted for clients with learning difficulties, brain injuries and Parkinson’s amongst other ailments. Somewhat unusually as a professional deputy I act as a Health and Welfare Deputy.

I am able to give expert advice on:

The role and requirements of professional deputies and deputy standards.
The costs of appointing professional deputies and the costs of those deputies in acting both in property and affairs and health and welfare work.
The practical implementation of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
How a deputy or attorney shall undertake best interest decisions.
The benefits and taxation elements of a trust.
The responsibilities and powers of trustees and likely professional trustees costs.
The interpretation of wills.
Inheritance tax and Capital Gains Tax planning measures.
The costs, time and tasks involved in estate administration including estates consisting of overseas assets, missing beneficiaries and business and agricultural property.
Contentious probate disputes.
