I have been retained as an expert witness and prepared expert reports on a range of matters including:
Loss of profit.
Proceeds of crime.
Fraud.
Casualty / general liability matters.
Business valuations.
Personal injury.
I have a strong background in the insurance arena, working for both defendants and claimants in first party disputes, liability disputes and subrogation. I am not a tax accountant.
I have given oral testimony on many occasions at the High Court and at International Arbitration and have also assisted at numerous mediations, either in person or in an advisory capacity. I am often retained in an advisory capacity to review quantum issues in the lead in to court / arbitration proceedings, where expert accountants have not been officially engaged.
I am a qualified management accountant (ACMA) and valuation analyst (CVA) have experience across many industries, including retail, manufacturing, hotels, biofuels, pulp / paper, metals / heavy industry, luxury goods, glass manufacture, and many others.
Solicitors who have retained me have commented “it is refreshing to read such a well-considered and written expert report“, “is unflustered on the stand”, “quickly sees the material issues”, “tells us what he thinks, not what he thinks we want to hear” and “is easy to work with.
I am a competent French speaker (not fluent) and oversea the firm’s Paris office. I have worked on cases all over the world, having opened the firm’s Singapore office in 2003.
I am happy to provide an initial consultation free of charge. I will typically request a retainer on all new instructions and can discuss fee arrangements in more detail, depending on the case.
